Kidzikoo Giveaway

We use stainless steel and glass bottle in our home. My daughter is four, so she often "drops" her drinking bottles which means dents and dings and scratches. Even the toughest drinking bottles can only handle so much. She also complains when something is "too cold" because it makes her hands too cold when she needs to drink from it. Yet, ironically she only likes her drinks ice-cold. So I found Kidzikoo. Kidzikoo was invented by a mom facing the same issues I (and so many moms have). Lindsey, the president of LadyEdison (creator of Kidzikoo)said:

One morning in October of 2010, Landon was sitting on my lap as he was drinking his cold milk out of his sippy cup. He reached back and put his little hand on my cheek and it was FREEZING. I chuckled and said to him "burrrr, you need a koozie for your sippy cup!" So, I marched upstairs to the computer to search for baby bottle/sippy cup koozies, thinking they would be found at any retailer. Well, much to my surprise, I found NOTHING! Immediately the light bulb turned on and the idea was born!

My daughter loves them! She uses her Kidzikoo every single day whether at school or hanging around our house. It insulates and protect her fingers (and those expensive drinking bottles). I love the each pattern is named for a child close to Lindsey's heart. The designs are funky and kid-friendly. Frankly, I want one for my own drinking bottles!

LunchSkins say bye bye Plastic...and Giveaway!

It is not secret that I am not a fan of plastic bags whether for snacks, sandwiches or groceries. We just do not use them in our home if we can help it. Now that my daughter is in school and I have to pack snacks, I was trying to get creative. I use containers, but sometimes I want just a snack bag. So in my quest to make my life easier, I found LunchSkins. LunchSkins were created by moms. They were concerned when they heard more than 20 million sandwich bags from school lunches go into landfills in the US...everyday! They started 3greenmoms, the company responsible for LunchSkins. Their mission:to design a colorful, fresh alternative to the plastic baggie. LunchSkins are food-safe, dishwasher-friendly and can withstand high heat. They are made from high-quality European fabric used by patisseries and bakeries. They even found a US family-owned manufacturer nearby in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
And no more plastic baggie taste or waste!

LunchSkins donates 1% of online sales profits to the C&O Canal Trust, an organization formed to protect and restore the the historic C&O Canal near the nation's capital, a trash-free National Park. See www.canaltrust.org for more information.
3greenmoms say:
In just one year, our LunchSkins customers have taken a big bite out of landfill and ocean waste. With your purchase and use of LunchSkins, more than 12 million plastic baggies have been saved from the landfill. WOW! We’re on a mission to reduce the number of plastic baggies thrown out. Help us reach our 2011 goal of keeping 100 million plastic baggies out of landfills and waterways.

We love our LunchSkins. They are great for fruit, snacks, even subs! You name it and there is a LunchSkins for it. My daughter likes the extra bit of flair in her lunchbox and I like that it gives us the chance to have less waste.

Three Lucky Product Mommy readers are going to get a set of 2 bags each (LunchSkins will choose the patterns for you).

Wallcandy Arts

My child likes to color on paper, her easel and if I am really lucky (said sarcastically) she colors my walls and carpets too! I have tried explaining, but then I gave up. I found a way to solve one of those problems. I found Chalkboard Animals from Wallcandy Arts. They are reusable wall stickers that your child can draw on over and over again with their favorite chalk. The set comes with 2 each of six large animals including Elephants, Giraffes and Rhinoceros'. The set even comes with chalk, so you are all set from the minute you get it.

My daughter was so anxious to get at them that I only got two up before she bumped me out of the way so she could color. Kids love them because they feel a little taboo. "You mean I can really color on the wall?" Instead of painting a whole wall with chalkboard paint, which lets admit it, would look a little dismal in a kids room, why not grab some chalkboard wall decals instead. If animals are not your thing, you have so many other choice from Wallcandy Arts including squares, circles, even an apple. I think these would make a great addition to a kitchen too. Just stick the decal to the wall, and suddenly you can remind little Timmy to take out the trash in a fun way! The possibilities are endless! If you move homes...they move with you and can use them again and again.
Wallcandy Arts was started by a mommy who understands what parents want and need when it comes to cool and easy decor. There are so many choices for wall decor. They are perfect for decorating any room in your home, Because they can come off, you and your walls are never too committed to a design (which is great for apartment dwellers). I know I cannot wait to order more-there is a large tree I am drooling over. Wallcandy Arts are a hit in this house.

Baby Bear Shop

BABYBEARSHOP was founded by a mommy of two children. It is an organic skincare line
'just right' for mothers, babies, and grown-ups alike who care about their health, the environment and having lusciously soft and healthy skin.

BABYBEARSHOP products are all-natural, cruelty-free, paraben-free and are safe for your family and the environment. They contain no phenoxyethanol, lactoperoxidase, citrus seed extract and no other synthetic preservatives or additives. They contain no dairy, no nuts, no gluten, no soy, no egg, no oat, no colors, no artificial anything. Children with many allergies can actually use these products! They are made with pure and organic plants and plant extracts from sustainable farming methods, and are in recyclable containers.
I think it is especially cool that for every order placed, BABYBEARSHOP plants a tree to offset carbon emissions. And BABYBEARSHOP ® is a member of Co-op America, Safecosmetics, Organic Trade Association, Healthy Child Healthy World, PETA and Trees for the Future.

This is a skincare line that actually walks the walk. Product Mommy and Product Baby were lucky enough to try some BABYBEARSHOP products. The Cheeky Baby Butter is 99% organic and 100% natural. The tiniest bit goes a very long way. We are currently potty training, and my daughter often forgets to tell us, and gets a little shy when she goes in diaper...then come the rashes. We used a competitors product and it made her rash worse. The Cheeky Baby Butter not only cleared up the original rash, it also cleared what the the other "natural" product caused. It has an herbal lavender smell, but somehow still smells like clean fresh baby skin, rather than being overly herbal. Mama Bears can use it as stretch mark cream, for wrinkles, and even for dry hands and feet. I love a multi-use product. Do not even get me started on the adorable packaging.

The other BABYBEARSHOP treat we got to try were the All the Better to Kiss You With lip balms in Lavender Vanilla and Pepperminty. They come in cool old-school recyclable slide tins and are amazing. I find lots of natural lip balms are too light and have a funky smell to them. These both smell amazing. I carry Pepperminty with me all day, and I use Lavender Vanilla to relax at night. They are thick without being goopy and one swipe before bed is still on in the morning. My little Product Baby and I keep tussling for them. I do not want to share!

Silikids

In response to the medical worries over certain plastics in food and beverage containers, two mothers got together in 2006 to create Silikids. Silikids is a range of Silicone products for children from knee pads for crawlers to bottles, Silicone sleeves and now a toddler drinking glass. Why silicone? Well Silicone in non-toxic, hypo allergenic and it does not harbor or promote bacteria and fungus growth, which also means no odor. You can boil it to sterilize it and it is dishwasher and washer/dryer safe (for the bibs and knee pads). Best of all it is BPA, lead, PVC and phathalate free. Silicone is made from silicon which is a natural element and one of the most abundant on earth. It does not decompose but is recyclable (mainly through speciality recycling facilities) but you can send your products back to Silikids and they will recycle it for you. Because of its durability you can reuse it again and again so there is less waste.

We got the try try the Siliskin glass. It is a 6 oz. silicone covered glass. I am sure you have all had that toddler moment where they want to do what you are doing. Whenever we ate dinner, my daughter stole my glass, because she did not want her covered straw cup. I was worried she would break the glass. This is the perfect solution. Because it is silicone covered it makes it easier for them to hold and protects the glass in case it is (inevitably) dropped. I am not saying you would do this because the glass could break, but I threw mine to test it out, and it simply bounced. My daughter loves feeling like she is a big girl drinking from her own glass.

Whatever your child's age, there is a Silikids product to fit. They are all super affordable and make great gifts for new moms, or even stocking stuffers for your little ones. Say goodbye to plastic!

Yummy Mummy Brownies

I like to think of myself as a Brownie and Chocolate connoisseur. I love brownies, like most people with any sense. I also really get mad when I have a bad brownie. When I heard about Yummy Mummy Brownies, I have to say I was skeptical. Could mail order brownies really be as good as everyone claimed on the site? Well, I am here to tell you they were THE BEST brownies I have ever tasted.
Yummy Mummy Brownies was started by Melissa Roiter who grew up around women who knew how to cook. Her mother was a caterer, her aunt a chocolatier and her grandmother a wonderful baker. The recipe comes from her grandmother. She decided she wanted to sell them, but needed a catchy name. On Mother's Day 2007, Melissa, as the mother of triplets, got a makeover and was featured in the Boston Globe style section. Her friends loved the new look and started calling her a "Yummy Mummy", and a brand was born.
I got a Custom Brownie Box with 2 Fudge Brownies, 2 Caramel Nougat and 2 Coconut. I was in heaven. They were chewy without being mushy, and had the perfect crisp on the top. They were remarkably fresh (way fresher than any gourmet brownie you could buy at any store). I could not decide which was my favorite, and I kept thinking "What will I do when I run out?" I had a very hard time giving my husband and daughter a taste. Yes, they were that good! You can also get brownies in flavors like Mint Patty, Nut Toffee, Peanuty Peanut Butter and Toasted Walnut.
This Mommy is a already planning her next box (but is in a quandary about which flavor). These are the perfect gift, because they so delicious and they stay that way. They come in attractive pink and brown boxes, so they are perfect for gift giving.

Yummy Mummy Brownies if offering readers a 15% discount. All you have to do is mention code "Brownies" (make sure to use capital "B") and you get 15% off of the ordr (not including shipping). Happy Yummy Mummy shopping.

Laughing out Loud Kids

I love finding comfortable and cool clothing for my child. I especially love when those clothes are not only stylish, but wear well…because children are messy, and clothing takes a beating. Laughing Out Loud Kids is just that kind of clothing. It is designed by Mila Cole who played off the mantra "Live, Laugh, Love”. She was inspired by her two young sons, Sebastian and Marcel. The range is made for children 0-6 years. Mila Cole draws from her Latin heritage and creates clothing with rich and bright colors that appeal to both children and parents. The line is made with high-quality fine-gauge knits and ultra soft Pima cottons from Peru.
The clothing is so unique, and we adore the pieces we have. My daughter looks like a little rosebud in her Charleston dress which is perfect to wear as a dress, or as a tunic with stretch pants or jeans. I love clothes that can be worn in many different ways. Laughing Out Loud Kids is the kind of line of clothing that really can be worn for years and years to come. From stretch pants and the Calypso Tunic for girls, to delicious Cardigans and Cha Cha shirts for boys…this is the ultimate in fashion, comfort and color for your child. I really wish designers for adults would take notice, as I would love some clothing as soft as this!

Parking Pal

Whenever you are in a parking lot with your child, you always worry that they will make a run for it, and get seriously hurt. I was super-psyched to find Parking Pal. Parking Pal Magnet was created by a mother in Virginia who wanted to find a way to keep her young children focused when they got out of the car. All you have to do is place the magnet on the outside of your car. Its bright colors and illustrations with the small palm print attracts the child, and makes them want to place their hand on it. After a little practice, it becomes their safe-spot...the place they go to the minute they get out of the car. We practiced with my 2.5 year old and she loves it. She knows to go right to it when she comes out of the car. It has not become a staple of our daily lives. There are plenty of designs to choose from, so you cannot go wrong.

Ringley...for Teething the Natural Way

The creator of the Ringley line of teething toys watched how nicely wood and cloth soothed her children as they teethed. She decided she would create her own line to share with other babies. Ringley Natural Teething Toys are made with 100% certified Organic cotton and natural untreated Maple wood. Maple wood will not splinter as children teeth on on it because it is such a strong wood. All Ringley Teething Toys are made without dyes or harmful chemicals.

There are currently four styles: Knotted, Straight, Junior and Ball. We have the knotted and the ball one. The knotted got us through some really tough teething times. They can all be used wet or dry and the Junior and the Ball have Velcro to remove them so you can toss them right into the wash. We have tried other wooden teething toys similar to this, and this is the only one that did not splinter and stood up to very vigorous chewing. I love the Ball because it can also be a fun toy for the baby to roll around and play with. These teething toys are winners all the way!

Patemm-the changing pad that changes everything

I am probably one of the biggest germaphobes out there. Lots of diaper bags and little clutches come with changing pads, but if your little one is active in any way, he/she inevitably rolls off of the thin strip that people consider a changing pad. I hate to even think what they are touching against their skin when the roll off those pads. Those who do not carry a diaper bag, often have a clutch, and all of the clutches I have seen still have to be opened and the changing pad laid out, while you try to control your squirming child. Not fun!

Grace Welch was a mom experiencing the same problem, and she decided to do something about it. She created the award-winning patemm pad. She cleverly named it after her son and daughter (Patrick and Emma). patemm pads have a round design that allows you to place your little one in any direction. You can store diapers, wipes, and even a set of clothes in the inside pockets. When not in use, the patemm® pad folds into a compact carrier.

All patemm® pads are 30 inches and each pad is designed with 4 outside handles allowing you to unfold/fold it with one hand. Once folded, an exposed handle flips over the top and an adjacent handle is used to carry the closed pad.

The one we have is laminated cotton and is CPSIA-certified. patemm® pads are waterproof and are PVC, LEAD, PHTHALATE, LATEX, BPA, AND FORMALDEHYDE-FREE. You can either clean it with a damp cloth, or throw it in the wash (no bleach or fabric softeners) and air dry. I have one of the squirmiest toddlers around, and not only is the pad plenty big enough to change her, she is always protected wherever I change her. I love not having to carry around a huge diaper bag everywhere we go. We are potty training, but I still bring this along for the inevitable wardrobe change while we are out.

I love this mommy-invented product. It is simply amazing and makes diaper changing time that much easier.
