I love Serena & Lily. The designs are always so beautiful, and never overpower. Serena & Lily is the kind of company that thinks about all aspects of design for a home. I wrote a few months back about the Prague Gypsy Tote “Un-Diaper bag.”
Serena & Lily was created by Serena Dugan, a textile designer and artist, and Lily Kanter, a baby boutique owner and businesswoman. They began creating bedding sets and fabric patterns for nurseries, eventually expanding into children’s furnishings.
The Serena & Lily site has a whole selection of Everything Bins. Everything Bins range from Oval Tubs to my favorite – The Desk Caddy. The Desk Caddy is a coated metal bin with 4 spots to organize your desk, or better yet, your child’s craft table. My daughter has crayons, markers, paintbrushes, chalk…you name it, and it is on her table. We use the Desk Caddy to separate all of these and make it easier for her.
If she wants to color with crayons, she can grab a crayon and not her chalk…you get the idea. It also looks pretty darn nice on her table and as a Virgo, I LOVE the organization aspect. She got an easel for the holidays and she simply grabs her desk caddy and goes. It is super sturdy too! If your house is anything like ours, then cloth bins last about two minutes.
