Handmade Glamping

I have a not-so-secret desire to hit the open road in a glamped out camper.  I love the idea of just letting go of the electronics and enjoying nature with my family.  Unfortunately, I have yet to convince the husband of how great this would be.  For now we do overnight camping.  Fueling my desire if the books Handmade Glamping by Charlotte Liddel and Lucy Hopping.

Decorate your tent, tipi, motorhome or camper van with any of the 35 stunning projects in Handmade Glamping. Using a variety of crafting techniques including knitting, crochet, quilting, embroidery, patchwork, and appliqué, Charlotte Liddle and Lucy Hopping have created a wonderful range of accessories that will bring retro charm to your idyllic backwoods getaway. Whether you fancy a quiet retreat to secluded beaches or are off to live it up at the summer festivals, you will find something to make your home away from home look stunning and feel cosy and comfortable. Divided into four chapters, start by Redecorating Your Caravan or camper van with embroidered curtains using vintage fabrics or make the hexagonal patchwork scatter cushions to put on the camp bed. The pictures are breathtaking and I have even tried to incorporate some tips into my home decorating.  You want your camping to feel a little glamorous and be your home away from home, and  Handmade Glamping is your guide to making it happen.  I have taken to using an embroidered tablecloth as a curtain for my English Country kitchen.  We light our porch with this homemade Glass Jar Lanterns.  Even if you don't camp, this books is full of fun crafting ideas to make your mark on your home.  Viva la Camper!
