Kamik Snow in Style

I live in New England, which means that it could be snowing one day and 65 degrees Fahrenheit the next (like today).  I often have to send my daughter to school with snow pants and heavy duty boots.  There is only one place I go for those heavy-duty boot, and that's Kamik,   Kamik makes tough footwear that combines both fashion and function.  For those of you hiking up the Alps, they make  super heavy-duty footwear too!

Kamik is a family run Canadian company making outdoor footwear in Canada and the USA for over 100 years. Kamik build footwear and clothing that lets you embrace the elements and enjoy the outdoors in any weather.

My daughter lives in her Snowgypsy Kamik Boots .  You know they are comfortable when a five-year old tells you they feel like Slippers.  She wears these babies for fun.  Of course the  Snowgypsy Kamik Boots have some amazing features:

  • Waterproof Nylon Upper
  • Fixed Fleece and Foam Insulation
  • Soft Fleece Lining
  • Faux Fur Snow Collar & Gusset Tongue
  • One Pull Bungee Lacing System
  • Lightweight & Waterproof Synthetic RubberHe Shell
  • Kamik’s SNOWAVE Synthetic RubberHe Outsole

During a recent snowstorm, she partied it up outside and her feet were nice and toasty.  No arguments ensued about getting her boots on ( a rarity before Kamik).

I have the added bonus of being a stay-at-home momma, which means I am in charge of shoveling.  No snow-blower here, just pure heart.  Even though some snows do not leave me with enough to need to shovel (darn it, yeah right), I love how fashionable my Kamik New York Boots are. They feature:

  • Waterproof Quilted Nylon Upper
  • DriDefense Waterproof Bootie Construction
  • Super Soft Fleece Lining
  • Soft Fleece Snow Collar
  • Foam & Fleece Insulation
  • Padded Collar & Gusset Tongue
  • Kamik Comfort EVA Insole
  • Kamik’s CITY Rubber Outsole

A mom can get used to such style and comfort.  I wear mine even when there is no snow.  I might also wear them while watching my daughter frolic in the snow (after I have given up and realized Jeans are not proper leg wear for winter, shhh).  Hey, at least my feet were warm.

Treat your feet during those cold winter months and rainy days.  When you are done with your Kamik's (or simply crave a new pair), either donate them or give them a wipe and send them back to Kamik to recycle!  Now, get out there and enjoy the snowflakes, skiing, snowmen and shoveling (well, no one enjoys shoveling, but at least I can skip the gym on those days).  Happy winter!
