Raw Energy

I had to let readers in on a little secret of mine. I am in love with a new book, Raw Energy 124 Raw Food Recipes for Energy Bars, Smoothies, and Other Snacks to Supercharge Your Body by Stephanie Tourles. I have never wanted to make everything in a (non) cookbook. We really enjoy the benefits of all of the ingredients that help us go all day long.
Raw snacks are nature’s original fast foods—delicious, easy to prepare, and bursting with the ingredients you need to stay healthy and energized on even the busiest days. Stephanie Tourles offers 125 simple recipes for mouthwatering parfaits, trail mixes, smoothies, energy bars, juice blends, soups, vegetable chips, dips, candies, cookies, and more. Made from unprocessed whole foods—such as nuts, seeds, dried and fresh fruits, vegetables, oats, carob, cocoa, and fresh juices—these snacks have fewer than 250 calories and are packed with vitamins, minerals, fiber, and enzymes.
Even my daughter is in on the tasty fun. She enjoys the Peach Perfection Smoothie made with coconut oil, peaches and almond milk. I use the Morning Power Shot to get me going in place of coffee and I love the ginger, honey mix. I repeatedly make the Mexican Dark Chocolate-Blueberry Diving Fudge. It is so spicy and delicious and offers me antioxidants, and vitamins B and E, calcium, protein and fiber.
And when we want a healthy treat, we have Chocolate Turtles. Because they are made with such great ingredients we don't feel guilty. What a fabulous way to snack and keep healthy. I cannot get enough of this book!
