No More Dirty Looks Giveaway!

Have you ever read a book that changes the way you think about your life? I know it sounds cliche, but I have finally read that book. No More Dirty Looks by Siobhan O’Connor and Alexandra Spunt is an amazing book that let's you in on the secret. That secret is that some of your favorite cosmetics and bodycare products are actually full of chemicals that are doing you more harm than good. From page one, I was hooked. I realized a lot of the "safe and natural" items I was using actually contained ingredients that horrified me. The book is written in such a fun way that it is easy to get through. You never feel like the authors are preaching to you, but rather like you are talking with friends. The minute I was finished, I started really taking a look at my favorite cosmetics, and over 60% of them were in fact loaded with harsh chemicals. I realized I took a lot of cosmetics at face value (no pun intended). I was naive and figured "safe" and "natural" meant they were actually safe and natural. As human beings we owe it to ourselves to use products that are good for us, or at the very least, do not bring cancerous and dangerous chemicals into our bodies. If you are a parent or soon-to-be parent, using cosmetics that are safe becomes even more important, especially with little children who touch everything!
