I love finding product lines that are not only organic, and use natural ingredients, but ones that I wholeheartedly love and am able to recommend to my Product Mommy readers. That was the case from the first days of Sweetsation Therapy baby products entering my home. Sweetsation Therapy was started by Natalja Millsap who realized that products she was using on herself while pregnant were doing more harm than good. “Pregnancy” body and skin care actually contained harmful ingredients. Sweetsation Therapy was created in 2008 in response to this with USA based labs and a team of chemists, aromatherapists and dermatologist. With a line for pregnant moms and babies, everything is organic and.or natural…and safe. The packaging is all 100% recyclable and they have a program that allows you to send in five of your empty Sweetsation Therapy pieces of packaging and get one free product of your choice up to $20. The products are biodegradable, and packing is minimum to reduce waste.
We are in love with every single product we have tried. The Orange Dreamsicle Organic Baby Shampoo and Body Wash not only cleans in a gentle way, but it smells amazing. Even the next day the light citrus-fresh scent remains.
It contains Calendula, Kiwi and Oat with proteins. It has no irritants or chemicals. It is not tear-free, but even as I bathe my daughter who acts more like a tazmanian devil in the tub, that is not a problem. I was a devotee to a certain shampoo, and this completely converted me.
The Yummi*Tummi Organic Baby Choco Butter with Calendula is a Chocolate Organic Butter. It smells like the real thing! This is not a fake-smelling chocolate at all! , it's formula contains unique combination of Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter and Essential Oils of Jojoba, Coconut, Argan, Kukui Nut, Tamanu and Macademia to care, nourish and repair dry skin as well as protect from irritations. It's soft and gently pampering, perfect for after sun exposure. It is rich in Alpha Tocopherols (Vitamin E). Rich in Squalene and antioxidants, it helps to protect skin from free radicals that cause skin cancer. Pomegranate seed oil, strong antioxidant, is high in lipids including pucinic acid. It's very effective in treating dry skin, eczema, psoriasis and sunburned skin. You can use it on skin rashes and bruises. I used it on a dry patch (darn that New England winter) on my legs and my daughter’s arm with wonderful results. This stuff is like liquid gold (in a convienient moisturizer).
The new diaper bag staple is the Choco*Smooch Baby Lip and Face alm which comes in a jumbo-sized tube that is 5 times bigger than regular lip balm. We have used it on our lips and cheeks religiously (especially after I got the bright idea to picnic on the beach in 45 degree windy weather). It is Infused with nourishing ingredients like Argan, Calendula, Macadamia and Sea Buckthorn, rich in Palmitoleic acid, Omega 6, Omega 9 and Vitamin E, it will help to regenerate and revitalize dry, chapped skin and bring softness to where it belongs. Addition of Pomegranate, Cranberry and Raspberry seed oils, high in antioxidants and lipids including pucinic and ellagic acid also can be effective in treating dry skin, eczema, psoriasis and sunburned skin. It smells like a real chocolate bar (so much so that my husband had to pry it from my hands in a moment of craving weakness…just kidding…kind of). Because it contains honey, you should not use it on babies under 1 year of age because they will obviously ingest it as it is on their lips.
I cannot wait to try Sweetsation Therapy’s sunscreens which also smell like chocolate. And if you want to try a product, you can most likely get a sample size first. Sweesation Therapy is also offering a 20% discount when you use the code “Blogger mommy”.
You have to try these wonderful products! You will definitely become a devotee like me!
