I feel pretty fortunate for the people I meet through this blog. One of my all-time favorite conversations and new friendships is with MJ of MJ's Herbals. I actually started using AHAVA when I was in college. I was in a shop and noticed that a woman near me smelled amazing, so I asked her what it was. I take skincare pretty seriously. I know I did some damage to my skin during my teenage years when I let my pale skin burn. Now I wear at least a 30 spf and make sure to keep my face covered. The Rosehip Treatment Facial Serum is perfect for extra-healing to dry and sensitive skin areas. I used it on the worry lines between my eyebrows, and in two days, I saw a big difference. This is also wonderful for healing the appearance of scarring after a break-out.

The Green Tea Clay is a powder you mix with water to give yourself a lovely exfoliating, purifying mask. I used it on my t-zone and went about my chores. It did the trick, and stopped some skin eruptions in their tracks.

The Sweet Blossom Hydrating Body Oil is Scented with the clean, fresh fragrance of petitgrain leaf, layered with sweet neroli blossoms, exotic ylang ylang and balanced with rich, resinous frankincense. Dr. Hauschka

Dr. Haushka is well-known skin care line. They have expanded through the years to include body care, hair care and holistic home remedies. The line was created by esthetician Elisabeth Sigmund and Dr. Hauschka, who both recognized that skin health and outward appearance are the direct results of a person’s internal health and emotional well-being. The entire line works in tune with your body and so therapeutic. The grow and source their materials in an ecologically sound manner and employ fair trade initiatives. If you have ever been to a health food store, or high end skin care boutique, you have definitely seen the Dr. Hauschka line displayed, and most often in low stock because so many clammer to get it! I was fortunate to try a few different items from the line, and I am a new devotee!

The Lemon Body Wash smells just like a sun-ripened lemon. It contains shea butter, apricot kernel oil, blackthorn and witch hazel to hydrate your skin. Because it is soap-free, it will not dry you out. It is so creamy it can even be used as a shaving cream. I cannot get over the scent. It is so sunny and bright that it makes me crave summer. This is the perfect body wash for rejuvenating skin after hours spent in the sun, salt water and pool.

I was delighted to also get a chance to try some of the Dr. Hauschka holistic home remedies. I tried the Berberis Nose Balm which relieves nasal congestion and irritation. It can be used on children and adults. I spend most of allergy season using these horrible prescription nose drops which eventually cause nose bleeds and severe discomfort. I have used this Berberis Nose Balm for a whole week with wonderful results! My nose feels moisturized and I can finally sleep without miserable stuffiness.

I am a strong believer that scent is a great factor in products. Because Dr. Hauschka uses such wonderful plant essences, you will not be disappointed. I cannot wait to try more from the line, and am delighted with the results of everything I have used so far.

This is a skincare line that actually walks the walk. Product Mommy and Product Baby were lucky enough to try some BABYBEARSHOP products. The Cheeky Baby Butter is 99% organic and 100% natural. The tiniest bit goes a very long way. We are currently potty training, and my daughter often forgets to tell us, and gets a little shy when she goes in diaper...then come the rashes. We used a competitors product and it made her rash worse. The Cheeky Baby Butter not only cleared up the original rash, it also cleared what the the other "natural" product caused. It has an herbal lavender smell, but somehow still smells like clean fresh baby skin, rather than being overly herbal. I have to say my two favs from the line are the Cucumber Sage Calming Mist, and the Vanilla Açaí -Youth Preserver Night Cream. I love how they each smell, and more importantly they work. Did I mention they also smell amazing? The Cucumber Sage refreshes my skin, and i use it morning and night. I was on the search for a night cream, and was delighted with the Vanilla Acai, it is effective without being too heavy. I have found my natural skincare line!
